with all its stretched out
arms reaching through
blue skies without a pause
to see the silly selfies we took
until I sat in the shade and
saw your smiling body
receiving life giving nutrients in such
calm, I thought: it is essential
there is a season when
people’s shoulders
are loose
and lower
and lovely
